ICE Arrests at Immigration Courts Blocked

Federal Court Ruling

A federal judge ruled that the nationwide policies allowing broad ICE arrests at immigration courthouses were unlawful.

Earlier rules are back in effect. These rules limit immigration arrests at immigration courthouses to exceptional situations only, including for certain public safety or national security concerns.

This ruling does not mean that arrests will not happen at or near a courthouse. It could also change if the government appeals.

Continue to attend all immigration court hearings. Missing a hearing can lead to a deportation order.
