**Rooted in Community, Forward Together: Make the Road CT's Annual Fundraiser**
5:30 PM – 8:00 PM
We invite you to join us at our annual fundraiser, Rooted in Community, Forward Together. We have new things from this past year to celebrate like Wendy as our new Executive Director, our newly formed rapid response team that is helping to defend the community against the violence of the immigration enforcement system, and even a new air conditioning system at the People's Mansion in Bridgeport! We also have continued our long term organizing and power building work that this year protected Medicaid benefits for immigrant young people and pregnant people and passed stronger policies to protect immigrant communities.

**Pramila Jayapal's Resistance Lab: SEPTEMBER Virtual Organizing Training**
2:00 PM – 3:00 PM
On Sunday, September 27th, the Congresswoman will lead a special Immigration Justice Resistance Lab alongside expert guest speakers. Together, they will cover the history of our immigration system, how the administration is using immigration to advance an authoritarian agenda, and what people can do to fight back. Participants will leave with practical tools and concrete actions to support immigrant communities, organize locally, and protect our democracy.

This training is urgent. Every day, we're seeing the administration ramp up its assault on immigrant communities—tearing families apart, detaining people without due process, and using immigration enforcement as a tool of fear and control. These attacks aren't just on immigrants; they're on all of us.
